The advancement of society is at least in part led by the outputs of research. Whether or not this eventually benefits our communities is often determined by how society responds to these new opportunities. The Park presents opportunities to engage in dialogue on issues that affect us all so that we can align research outputs with outcomes that benefit future generations.

By bringing researchers and the public together, relationships can be built to increase trust, relevance, accountability and transparency in the process of research, and in the researchers themselves. Fundamental research and future translation of research outcomes in humans often requires the voluntary participation of people in clinical trials and other types of investigations. These can provide a powerful interface between research and wider society.

We are continuing to work closely with collaborators and stakeholders to develop our understanding of activities on the Research & innovation and Community engagement pathway, and the objectives and strategic approach we need to move Forward Together.
